What would happen if...we were intentional about everything we did? No matter what we are doing, if we are intentional about doing that specific thing at that specific time, I believe it would be transformational. Sometimes there are things we have to do and we approach it with the attitude of just getting through it or getting it over with. That often makes the task laborious and burdensome. However, if we were intentional, had a specific purpose and goal for what we were doing, even if it is not our favorite thing to do, it would make the task far less menial and more meaningful. If the intention, purpose for all the things we do stemmed from an overarching intention or purpose, such as, bringing glory and honor to God, then all of our actions would be connected. They would all have purpose and stem from the same goal. This would help in those areas that are not our favorite things to do. We are usually intentional in our specific job or career, otherwise we might not have one for long. Many are intentional in making vacation plans and/or planning for the weekend. We also need to be intentional in our spiritual walk with the Lord. We should be intentional in our Bible study, prayer life, church attendance, giving, and our relationship with Christ. This should lead us to be intentional in our relationships with others as well. I need to be intentional about my relationship with my wife, my children, my parents, my siblings, my friends, and so on. How would this intentionality transform my relationships? I should be intentional with my words. We should ask ourselves if our words that we are about to speak bring glory to the name of God. Will they uplift others and encourage them? Are these words honoring to the Lord? What would happen if our intention was to bring glory to the name of God with everything we say and do? What would happen if…
