What would happen if…
We only said what Jesus would say about people? What if, before speaking about someone, whether to their face or behind their back, we paused and asked, “Is this what Jesus would say about them?” That simple filter could completely change the tone of our conversations, our relationships, and even the culture around us. Jesus spoke words of truth, but always with love. He called out the best in people, even when they couldn’t see it themselves. To the woman caught in adultery, He said, “Neither do I condemn you.” To Peter, who would deny Him, He said, “You are the rock.” When others saw brokenness, Jesus spoke identity, value, and purpose. If we only said what Jesus would say, gossip would disappear. Criticism would turn into encouragement. Instead of tearing people down, we’d be building them up. We’d speak life over others, calling out their God-given worth and reminding them they are deeply loved. This kind of speech doesn’t ignore flaws, it sees them through the lens of redemption. It’s honest, but full of hope. Imagine homes, workplaces, and churches filled with that kind of language. We’d create a culture where people don’t just feel tolerated, they feel truly seen, known, and loved. Just like Jesus sees them.
